Location & Parking
The Shoulder of Mutton Inn can be found in the delightful village of Kirkby Overblow. We are a perfect base for exploring the towns of Harrogate and Wetherby and the cities of York and Leeds.
We have a car park that can be accessed along the side of the pub. Please note if the parking is full you may have to park outside the designated car park. Cars and their contents are left at the owner’s/customer’s own risk.
Room Occupancy & Access
The rooms are for a maximum of 2 adults only. We do not have family rooms and therefore do not accept children under the age of 16. The rooms are located in the old barn building by the side of the pub and accessed by an external flight of stairs.
Room Cleaning
The rooms are deep cleaned and sanitised between stays.
Check in & Check out
Check in is from 3pm. Check out is 10am.
Smoking Policy
No smoking is permitted anywhere in the rooms or the pub. Smoking is permitted in the beer garden.
Pets
Pets are not permitted in the rooms.
Breakfast
Breakfast is included in the room rate. Breakfast is served between 9am & 11am in the pub. If you require an earlier breakfast time, this can be arranged with prior notice.
Lunch & Dinner
Reservations for lunch and dinner can be made online through our website or in person, on arrival.
Booking Requirements, Cancellation Policy & Charges
There will be no cancellation charge if a booking is cancelled no later than 24 hours/1 day before your arrival date. While we regret any circumstances that lead to cancellations it is not the responsibility of the inn to cover these costs and we recommend you take out a travel insurance accordingly.
No shows will be charged in full.
Terms & Conditions for Facebook Giveaway Competitions
The promoter is D & K Deacon Ltd.
The competition is open to anyone 18 years or over except employees of
D & K Deacon Ltd and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition.
There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
The route to entry for the competition is to like the post on our Facebook Page.
Any additional action (including sharing a post, commenting, watch party, tagging etc) are done at the entrant’s discretion and do not impact the outcome of the giveaway.
We will at no point contact any entrant via Direct Message to say they have won the giveaway and ask for a payment.
Please do not give any billing information via messenger on Facebook to anyone who might try and pass off as an employee of D & K Deacon Ltd.
We have the right to allow more than one entry per competition at times. We will notify specifically in the post if this is the case.
Closing date for entry will be stated in the post of the Facebook page. After this date, then no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.

The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
Winners will be chosen at random via the software platform that we will share if anyone wants to know more.
The winner will be notified by a notification on Facebook and within 28 days of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or do not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
The promoter will notify the winner when and where the prize can be collected.
The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
